…aaaand the authorities finally show up, stomp on the fires, pour water on them, glare at the meatheads standing around on the sidewalk, then leave.
new fires were promptly started as soon as police and firemen left. even the big box is still there, smoldering away.
all in all, an excellent use of tax dollars and city resources
because the yankees won.

i saw an earlier fire get blown under a car by the wind.
